The walls... They know
Every single day now I wake up to the same walls... The streets are a scene out of the 'I am legend' movie... I can't move out... I can't see my friends or taste that Lemon tea I get from the Canteen... I've learnt to love these walls though... These yellow walls seem to fade each passing day... Revealing their secret to me one step at a time... They echo my thoughts.. They know.. better than anyone the tears and the laughs being shed... Apollo could sing to them and they would still be silent... Sometimes leaning onto them makes me feel safe... It seems weird, doesn't it... But they know.. and they keep it a secret... They hold me when the rain is too loud... They listen to me singing at the top of my voice and don't judge... I remember that just a year ago, they were strangers... Now... they are family too... It's like Oedipus finally knows his mother... They have a song for those who are ready to listen... They know what to tell you when you feel dow...
